Connecting and collaborating made easier

A message for all Change Healthcare and Optum Insight team members

As we work to bring our capabilities, solutions and teams together, it becomes increasingly important that Change Healthcare and Optum team members can easily and effectively communicate and collaborate with one another.

We’re excited to announce capabilities that will help facilitate communication and collaboration between team members engaged in integration work:

    • Microsoft (MS) Teams
    • Outlook synchronization

MS Teams collaboration

The Optum Insight and Change Healthcare MS Teams platforms are now connected. This will make communicating with your colleagues across Optum and Change Healthcare easier. With MS Teams, you can:

    • Meet with and call team members directly
    • Chat in real time
    • Screen share seamlessly
    • See when your team members at Change Healthcare and Optum Insight are logged in

Change Healthcare team members can connect to MS Teams using the desktop or web versions.

If you’re not engaged in integration-based work, you may not need to use MS Teams yet. We’re sharing this information with you now so you’re aware that MS Teams is available anytime you need it.

Outlook synchronization

Outlook email address book and calendar synchronization will make email communications and meeting scheduling much easier.

Once your email address book and calendars are synchronized, you’ll be able to find email addresses for all UnitedHealth Group, Optum and Change Healthcare team members in Outlook by searching the address book using the team member’s name.

You can also view when your team members are free or busy in your Outlook calendar, simplifying meeting scheduling.

Looking forward, working together

While the integration teams at Optum and Change Healthcare will be the primary users of these features for now, we anticipate increased usage in the coming months as the merger continues.

As a reminder, if you’re not currently working on an integration workstream, you don’t need to take any action at this time.

These new capabilities are more examples of the tools, guidance and resources that will be shared with you in the days ahead as we continue to bring our companies and teams together. We look forward to sharing more with you in coming weeks.
