Hoped he would give me more information on the visit besides what was given on the portal. Felt like the visit was a waste of time as he had no other ideas of why I’m having symptoms. I feel like a quick phone call would have sufficed. I had to take off work and pay a copay for a 5 min talk regarding information I already am aware of. I am now having to wait another 6 weeks to speak with another provider, who may or may not have more insight.

The lower scores on this review are only because of THIS provider. I specifically asked for a 45 minute visit so I had time to go over what was going on with my GI system. I brought a list of concerns to talk about and put all the information in the check-in form. I was left waiting well over 40 minutes-assumed they were running late. he only spent about 10 minutes with me, he took the list of things I needed to talk to him about and instead focused on colonoscopes/endoscopes which I'm not even due for and the results from those from over 7 years ago. He cut me off repeatedly and didn't seem to be paying attention in the least. I had a detailed timeline of the history of the GI issues and what caused this recent flare up. If he had actually given me the time to just go over the list vs taking it or repeatedly cutting me off I would have explained it all within about 20 minutes. If he would have given me the full time of 45 minutes we would have had time to talk about various options. Instead he even documented that he spent 75% of the time reviewing past history! What a total waste of money/my time! I wasn't paying him to sit there by himself reading past stuff vs why I was there today! He wasted most of my appointment before he even came into the room and then I was given 10 minutes of if you'll excuse the language absolute crap care. I spent months waiting to get in with him because I was having so many issues with my GI system due to constant runs of steroids or antibiotics and my stomach was to the point that my PCP sent me here to see if we could get some additional help or ideas of what to do, not to get only 10 minutes of not being listened to and after reviewing the visit notes from this appt, my pcp found it to be unhelpful at best and offensive at worse. I made the appt even though I was going to be on meds because at the time I made the appt I hadn't pooped in over a week and I was in agony from horrific reflux and the different kinds of combinations of meds I had weren't working. This doctor didn't say anything we didn't already know, he didn't offer one bit of useful feedback. If he'd been paying attention he would have known all these things he was telling me to do I was already doing! What little information I was able to give him or what he might have seen in the list he had taken from me if he bothered to read it all was misrepresented in his visit summary. For example I told him I was diagnosed with slow emptying stomach and slow moving gut and put on the medication regulan (SP?) and that I was taken off after a couple of weeks because I had horrible side effects such as horrible headaches and dizziness and it made me twitchy. He documented that I claimed I had tardive dyskinesia. That was just one example of him not paying attention I was referring to being jittery. He kept pushing scopes but no one from the referral or scheduling department has contacted me. Imagine that. PCP will refer me elsewhere.
