Meet the consultant relations team leadership
Diana Highter leads the Consultant Relations team for Optum Health. In this role, she and her team develop and manage key strategic relationships with national consulting and brokerage firms. The Consultant Relations team drives strategies for mutual growth and the development and delivery of the best solutions to clients. Diana started with UnitedHealth Group in 2023.
Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Diana spent 23 years in consulting in roles at both Aon and Mercer. Most recently, she focused on assisting self-insured clients in their strategic discussions and implementation into value-based products and direct contracting efforts. While in consulting, Diana also held roles as an Account Executive working with large complex employers on all aspects of their health and welfare benefits strategy and as a Carrier Engagement Manager responsible for managing Aon’s national relationships with key insurance carriers. She also participated in national work groups to help shape company initiatives. Diana’s experience also includes work in both the home care and long-term care industries where she coached sales teams, developed strategic sales plans, and negotiated contracts with payers.
Diana is a graduate of Bryant University and completed the Executive Program at Yale University. She also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Diana lives in North Carolina with her husband, son, and greyhound.
Mike McGinnity is the Senior Vice President of Growth Enablement at Optum Rx. In this role, Mike and his team provide direct support to the Chief Client Officer while leading sales operations and analytics, proposals, internal and external communications, and consultant partnerships.
Mike held various client management and implementation leadership roles at Optum Rx predecessors Innoviant and Prescription Solutions from 2004-2014. After several years with Health Information Designs and Diplomat/CastiaRx, Mike rejoined Optum Rx in February 2020. After leading consultant partnerships and sales operations for several years, Mike’s role expanded to lead the entire growth office in July 2023.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Prior to joining the PBM and healthcare industry, Mike worked in the pulp and paper industry for 11 years.
