Dr Garcia Pena made a very positive first impression and would rate highest for any of the new clinicians I have seen since Optum took over.

The doctor was more concerned about insurance than my condition. He kept going in and out of the patient room. I have been a patient of Erica and Sperry and even before this I was a patient of Dr. Hugh's. They all left. I like my current doctor Laurie Belknap. She was booked up so I saw another doctor. It was an emergency. Thankyou.

My only wish is that there might have been a follow up call or check in the the next day. I was much worse the next day and ended up going to the emergency room that night and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I had voiced this concern on my visit with Dr. Pena but he didn't feel the need to go further with testing.

It was my intake appointment to establish care and I happily surprised that he had my medical records and had knowledge about it prior to the appointment. It made everything easier and showed care.

He was very friendly as well as personable! Easy to talk to! I let him know about my kidney disease. He said good to know for drug interactions, in case he had to prescribe antibiotics.

I wanted to become a doctor because I love helping people when they need it most. I grew up in Cuba, where I started my medical training. I continued my education after moving to the United States. I work in family medicine, so I see patients of all ages, from babies to older adults. I also do procedures like Nexplanon insertion and removal and skin tag removals.Philosophy of care
