I’ve had to see Jeffrey Mcelwain twice and he was very dismissive towards my concerns regarding my health. I had to ask for a prescription for my continuous cough because I was exhausted from not being able to sleep due to hacking all night. I had previously seen Dr. Lewis for the same reason and he prescribed antibiotics and I recovered within 3-4 days. I was sick after seeing Jeffrey Mcelwain for nearly 3 weeks and based upon his attitude, I didn’t call the office for a follow up. * He records the entire appointment which makes me feel uncomfortable, because I’ve never had any other physician do anything remotely like that. The first appointment I had with him was for a female vaginal infection. He remarked that those type of infections are usually transmitted sexually and did I my husband or I have other partners. Not only was this insulting, it was highly inappropriate. Obviously I would prefer to see any other provider if possible due to our incompatibility.
