My referral for my medication took a week to get the referral from my provider to go to Medicaid talking back and forth to Medicaid and my provider was a nightmare

Not sure who is at fault for the problems, but it was very difficult to get what was needed from the visit. Asked for blood and urine tests. When I walked to the lab down the hall, there was only an order for a blood test. Went back to the doctor’s waiting room and waited 20+ more minutes to get an order for the urinalysis. When I took that order back to the lab it was for a vaginal swab test (I am a man). Was told by the lab technician that they would ask for the correct order and that I could leave. Blood test results were provided within 12 hours, but urinalysis test results were never provided. Doctor stated it was a fault of the lab. Still never received results and had to ask two more times but only got a “test results were negative” message in the portal, no official documentation. This is not usable information. The last time I asked for this same procedure in 2022 it was as smooth as can be and all results were provided within one day.

My name is [omitted]. I am a newly established patient with Dr. Yang at the Optum Primary Care: [omitted]. I accidentally hurt my hand about a week ago after a frustrating day of work. I was alone and threw an air punch nut accidentally caught the corner of the wall with my knuckle. As days went on, I was experiencing pain and shaking when gripping items with that hand. Therefore, decided to be seen to be safe if I accidentally injured my and. During my visit, [omitted], the provider said something very inappropriate to me on when looking at my hand that I accidentally injured. Word for word, he stated, his is a boxer's injury. Typically, people commit suicide within a year. He then wanted to get me connected with counseling. I was calmn, friendly, and presenting normally during that vists. The nature of which I hurt my hand is rare and it was truly an accidently. I found his comment the most asinine thing I ever hear. Therefore I reported him to management ( Calla Williams ) appropriately and even had another visit at another Optum location to transfer my care. In addition, since my complaint, I noticed that the View Clinical Notes feature is no longer available in MyChart. This only occurred after I reported the provider for this statement. Likewise, I noticed two visits, from my PCM and the Provider who viewed my hand were added to my chart, but those events never occurred. Something is just not right.

Not a regular doctor at that office. He seemed quite old and could barely breathe just walking across the exam room.

Easier to get an appointment with then my Primary Care Doc. He direct, to the point and companionate. Calls me when test results come back instead of waiting for the paperwork to be mailed to me or posted to the portal.

He is very knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, concerned with health and easy to talk to about everything. He explains things very thoroughly. I’m so sorry that he will no longer be able to be my provider. No one stays in the Woodland Park office. It’s very sad.

He was thorough in his assessment, and followed through with initiating a referral request for further diagnosis. The referral has fallen into a black hole, and I'm told things are backed up. Any effort to call regarding status of the referral results in being on hold in excess of 35 minutes, while being told how important my call is, and the next available agent will be right with me.

Mr. Stanley Robin Johnson is a treasure of a Physician's Assistant. Robin set me straight on my bleeding ulcer and my extreme caffeine intake. Literally, I was drinking 6, sometimes 8 cups and coca cola cans a day. A BAD, BAD habit. He drove home how dangerous this was for me. I appreciate him professionally telling me to take seven days to gradually ween down on caffeine consumption to eventually completely stop. Robin actually called me at home to let me know my blood results. This P.A. is a keeper, along with the entire medical staff of the Tenderfoot Road OPTUM MEDICAL CLINIC? Sincerely, and with great respect [omitted]
