What do Optum patients think about their doctors?

From July 2019 to June 2020, Press Ganey surveyed over 200,000 Optum Care patients. The purpose of the survey was to find out how patients felt and what they thought about seeing their Optum or Optum Care doctor.

How does the Press Ganey survey work?

For over 30 years, Press Ganey has done surveys across the country to help health care organizations improve the safety and quality of patient care.

Patients are randomly selected to take part in Press Ganey surveys. If a patient is selected, they get a survey within a week or two of a clinic visit by email or regular mail.

What Optum patients have to say

When Press Ganey surveyed Optum Care patients, they found:

• Nine out of 10 patients would tell their friends to see their Optum doctor*
• More than nine out of 10 (96%) patients said the care provider showed concern for questions and worries*
• 96.4% of patients said the staff worked well together to care for them*
