I'm sorry about the previous 5 and whrer is my Duplixent. I thought this was a survey from the medicine company.. Dr. Blumer was very helpful. She was patient and answered all of my questions.. I am very satisified and pleased to have her as my provider. I will recommend her to others.

In the entire time we were together, she did not smile even once. When she was telling me what she thought caused my high reverse T3 level, she stumbled and said “Ummm, what is that called? Ummm…” before telling me it was not related to my thyroid function. I did not feel confident that she was knowledgeable.

The doctor minimized my primary concerns about possible Addison’s disease and pancreatitis risk, despite a prior hospital doctor flagging Addison’s and my triglycerides being over 500 with severe abdominal pain. My severe functional limits (can only manage one major activity a day, intense post‑meal pain, hot flashes with heart pounding and vision changes) were noted but not explored in depth, and there was no comprehensive plan for my overall symptom burden. The explanation for my high triglycerides focused on genetics and “typical” patterns, which felt dismissive of the work I’ve already done with a dietitian and the seriousness of my symptoms. The plan for adrenal insufficiency was limited to a single morning cortisol test, with the doctor repeatedly saying my symptoms were “vague” or not very consistent with adrenal insufficiency, which felt invalidating given my EDS and prior medical concerns. Overall, the communication style felt transactional rather than collaborative or empathetic; I left with orders for labs but without feeling that my complex symptoms and daily impact were fully heard or addressed. Although the labs were completed almost two weeks ago, I have had no results and no follow up from the doctor. I sent a follow up message [omitted] and still have not had a response.
