Clinician was recommending tests that I had already done a few months ago, which did not show concerns. She didn't seem to consider that I might wish to just see how things went, if I had another episode of fainting. But also didn't give me enough information to choose NOT to have the tests. There didn't seem to be enough consideration of options. I left not feeling confident of my decision

I would like to continue to see Vicki as my ARNP. She took time and went over things with me and explained the medication and possible side effects. Really great bedside manner.

Clinician was a substitute for my primary. She showed little concern about my problems and basically told me this kind of appointment can't be done over telehealth. Furthermore she said she didn't have the forms to even do the assessment for the referral. She came across as dismissive and I wish she said all this before my appointment and/or reviewed my background

Vicki is a good listener. She offered to prescribe some meds for pain. I declined but probably should have taken at the first suggestion. As the pain did Increase as my condition worked its way through. She followed-up and issued the Rx order.

Apparently Optum has had difficulty exchanging records with my former provider, Virgina Mason Hospital in Seattle. For example, my GP told me I'm due for a colonoscopy, but I just had one 3 years ago and was told at the time that I wouldn't need another for 10 years

I have had a poor experience this last visit. This provider doesn't seem to read the start prior to visits. As a result they ask questions or offer treatment that have already been reviewed or utilized. Provider never uses my preferred name but other in the office do. Provider doesn't cover basic screening questions at annual visits. Provider didi not seemed concerned with my health problems and even seem dismissive, it's probably just going to be that way.

Clinician was rushed, not at all interested in excessive fluid retention and extremely elevated bp of [omitted]-yo patient, irritated that she was asked to address both the patient's injuries from a fall and the obvious swelling as the result of the extremely high bp and fluid retention

I was sorry I didn't get to see my doctor but, meeting Vicki was still amazing, and I would see her future appointments, whenever my doctor is not available.

Vicki always reviews My Chart before my visits and any notes I submit when I schedule appointments. We realized there were some immunizations that had not made it into my My Chart history. She suggested I take pictures of what shots I have had and upload to My Chart and she would have her office update my records. This was a very helpful suggestion. It's nice to have a comprehensive view of all my immunizations that I have received from office, pharma visits and travel related vaccines.

  • About Vicki Schaub, ARNP

I believe medicine involves more than just the office visit. Patients have other interests and challenges in their lives that can affect their health. It's important to me to get to know my patients, answer questions and discuss the many choices for their care. I practiced as an RN for 28 years. I became a nurse practitioner to have closer relationships with my patients by caring for them as a primary care provider. My clinical interests include helping patients manage diabetes, heart disease and substance use disorders.

    Philosophy of care

My approach to patient care is based on a holistic philosophy. This means looking at the whole person: their physical health as well as their mental, emotional, social and spiritual health. I look forward to helping patients live their healthiest lives.
