Dr. McCarty is beyond knowledgeable and puts time and thought into every answer she gives me and listens to all my concerns. Not only does she see my husband and I, but she also sees our [omitted] daughter. As a new mom I have many questions and Dr. McCarty is always willing to answer them with understanding and kindness. She Is the best doctor I have had in years. I recommend her to everyone looking for a primary care physician.

Dr. S. McCarty is a confident, informative, well mannered, listening doctor. She is intelligent and honest to tell if I needed a referral. But this time she didn't give lab results review herself at all, instead other doc took over without considering previous result for recurring issues and concluded to continue same medication regimen disregarding my concern and questions. Instead, a pharmacist stepped in to give more info that helped make a decision, thankfully. I still respect, like, and will continue to see Dr. S. McCarty, though.

I feel like Dr. McCarty cares about both my wellbeing and my engagement with my care. I feel empowered and supported. Empowered in that she asks for my thoughts and feelings, and supported in that I know she is there for me when I have questions.

This is not clinician specific, but a general frustration with the yearly health checkup - it is so basic that it is basically useless. Finding any underlying potential problems seems nearly impossible. Just listening to the lungs, taking the weight, checking eyes and ears and that's it. This time Dr. McCarty didn't even do a visible inspection of the skin. Unfortunately our healthcare system that it is more profitable the treat serious issues, instead of doing a comprehensive exam to find potential diseases early. Another strange thing is the questions that are being asked every time (like if you're a smoker, etc) that should be in my file already after being a patient for over 20 years. Go figure...
