What surprised me about this physician, is that I was meeting her for the first time, and she never introduced herself. This happened both times that she entered the room: 1) When I had fallen and the nurse was assessing me. She walked in without looking at me or expressing any concern, engaged with the nurse and the computer, and then left. 2) When she came in for my actual appointment. She didn't introduce herself and it was difficult to get her to smile or engage with me, even though I was being friendly and making light of the situation. I thought this was strange since it was my very first visit with her. Maybe I threw her off with my accidental fall in the bathroom. Maybe she was tired and having a bad day. She had a very serious, though competent affect. She reviewed my medical record and asked questions, though I felt like she engaged more with the computer rather than me. I hope my next visit with her will go better.
