This doctor came as close to elderly abuse as one can get. She spoke down to me and treated me with lack of dignity and respect. I'm hard of hearing, I could not hear what she was asking me and I asked her to repeat herself, she did and I still couldn't hear. I told her I did better when I can read lips. She immediately rolled her eyes up and ripped her mask off. She was obviously annoyed. She then started scolding me, for not following her recommendations from our first visit. I only did one day of journaling, I didn't fill the prescription she wrote due to it costing $80 a dose, and I didn't schedule an appointment with a physical therapist. She blurted out, so what do you want me to do? She offered an antianxiety medicine that could possibly make me feel dizzy. I told her no, as the reason I was there was for migraines with vertigo. Her demeanor was abrupt, angry, and annoyed. I just wanted out of there, I stood up and thanked her for her time and left. By the time I got to my car I was shaking and crying. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. That includes working 50 years in the medical profession and owning and operating my own clinic.

Dr. Lester goes above and beyond to provide some of the most excellent care I have experienced. She was informed of my medical records and didn't make me tell her all over again what she was able to find in my chart. She accommodated me with extra time for my appointment and was very caring and kind delivering a tough to understand diagnosis. I am very grateful for how much of a professional and kind person Dr. Lester is.

Dr Lester is so nice and easy to talk to. She worked with me to develop a treatment plan for my headaches. I highly recommend her!

I felt dismissed and ignored. Was repeatedly cut off as she interrupted me to reply to what she ASSUMED I was asking instead of what I was actually going to bring up if she would have actually listened to me. Findings of my MRI were not brought up unless I mentioned them and even THEN I was only given the most cursory answer. I have legitimate health concerns and feel I was treated not as a human patient by a caring physician but like a household appliance on the fritz hastily diagnosed by an irritated repairman.

Relative to where I'm at with my health issues that Dr. Lester is involved with, these really should all by 'fair'. This is not because of her skills, but because my health issue, relative to neurology, is at a stage best described by saying, if It ain't broke, don't fix it. As a result, I find this annual visit a waste of time, and only join in to make sure she'll continue to write the prescription for the drug. I would rather check in with her only if something changes.

Dr. Lester gave additional clarifying information than the radiosurgery doctor did, and it helped me understand my options better.

This doctor is a bit hard to communicate with, and a bit impatient. But she does take my whole medical picture into account when decided on treatments, and she is willing to jump through insurance hoops to get me those treatments, which I really appreciate.

Dr. Lester was fabulous. She did a great job explaining everything, involved me in the treatment plan and most importantly gave me hope it was going to get better. After 15byears of headaches/migraines, this is huge!

she found my missing MRI and I was impressed

We were expecting this visit to lay out a path for next steps, hoping to be cleared for additional testing to rule Alzheimer's disease in or out after cognitive testing and an MRI suggested early stage Alzheimer's. Instead, we were offered the opportunity to be referred to another clinic that treats Alzheimer's and offers that testing. She said Optum would not perform the Lumipulse blood test which might have provided the diagnostic clarity we were seeking from a neurologist. She explained that the test was expensive and Optum physicians felt the test was unreliable.

I am passionate about neurology and the challenges that it provides - solving complex problems to find solutions that help my patients thrive makes mine a very rewarding career. The most important part of my work is to form trusting and long-lasting relationships with my patients to help them live their healthiest and happiest lives. My focus is on general neurology. However, I do have some special focus on headache, particularly migraine. I perform occipital nerve blocks and Botox injections for treatment of chronic migraine. I believe that establishing a trusting physician-patient relationship early on is the foundation of achieving success in the treatment of neurologic disorders and providing the best quality of life for my patients.
