Laura is great as a dermatologist, she's been very patient and thorough. This was a routine visit, and I'm always confident she's looking at my moles closely. She also brings up other skin issues, and recommends treatment.

Dr. Clemenz was on vacation but thankfully communicated to Dr. Swanson over the 3 day weekend. I got in quickly and they were helping me deal with significant pain.

I left this visit feeling rushed and unable to meaningfully participate in decisions about my care. The dermatologist was in the room for approximately 8 minutes for a full-body exam. Communication felt very rapid and abbreviated, and the doctor appeared ready to leave almost immediately after the examination - hand was on the doorknob immediately after, including while discussing whether certain spots should be removed or biopsied.Because decisions were presented very quickly and while the visit was effectively ending, it was difficult to process the information, follow the reasoning, or ask thoughtful follow-up questions before being asked to make decisions. I did not feel there was adequate time for discussion or patient education regarding the findings, rationale for photographs, or options for monitoring versus biopsy.I was also told I would need additional follow-up appointments for separate concerns, including after sending a MyChart message with a question I remembered after the visit. While I understand scheduling and billing constraints, the overall experience felt fragmented and impersonal, especially given the limited time spent during the original appointment.I would have appreciated a slower, more collaborative discussion style, clearer explanations, and enough time to ask questions and understand the reasoning behind recommendations before making decisions about procedures or biopsies.
