Medical records were not up to date

Dr. Lai can be a little difficult to understand. He speaks rather quickly and blends his words together. I frequently have to ask him to repeat himself.

I felt that the doctor was rushed and didn't want to really know what is happening with me, so that he could go on to the next thing.

I had experienced a change in my hearing that I didn't understand. I decided that I needed to start with the basics: have someone check to see if I had wax in my ears and have someone check to see if my hearing aids were working properly. It was my understanding that I could not go directly to the audiology department because my PCP needed to make a referral. Dr. Lai was concerned about the cause of my hearing change, but wanted me to explain more than I was able to do because I didn't really understand what had happened. I just knew that someone needed to check for wax and for someone to check my hearing aids. Finally he looked and saw no wax. He referred me to audiology and I found out that my left hearing aid was not working.

My doctor showed great concern and did labs and scan stat as I had severe diverticulitis

We so greatly appreciate the clinician's comprehensive care of our elderly mother! Very caring and concerned and addressed all of her pertinent issues (and involved family appropriately). We feel very good about her care.

Dr. Lai does a very good job of reviewing my medical records from other physicians. He's thorough, a good communicator, and genuinely cares about his patients. He doesn't rush through the appointment and takes adequate time to answer questions.

He was very prepared and he obviously reviewed my chart prior to appointment.

I went to him for an opinion. He was in my chart from a previous visit. His schedule was wide open. He was more concerned about Investigating why I came to him as opposed to my new PCP. He attempted to steer me to other hospitals for Care.I spent my time defending and explaining my decision to come to the poly clinic.

Doctor didn't once look at me. He was staring at another screen. Seemed to not care, in a hurry.
