Dr. Zhou was so thorough with her explanations of all the questions I had. She made sure all of my questions were answered. I have had a lot of OBGYN providers, many of them leaving their practice at Optum. I am so happy to be connected with Dr. Zhou and am looking forward to working with her.

The clinician was covering as there was a bit of delay seeing patient. Can't really comment on this section. She did what was required.

Joanna was a superb physician. She listened to me, was gentle when needed and assertive and supportive when needed. She always struck the right tone. She informed me of my options and didn't try to sway me one way or the other, and followed through on my requests.

I'm so glad I met Joanna Zaou. She is an outstanding and knowledgeable OBGYN. During my visit she showed me that she is a quick problem solver, considerate, and she doesn't waste the patients time. I like how she discussed the risks, my options, and etc and allowed room for questions. She truly listened to my concerns.

Dr. Zhou Already had access to and reviewed my records. She knew more about my records than I did. One of the best doctor's appointments I've ever had. Dr. Zhou was very knowledgeable, and I felt listened to and not rushed. I did not feel like my questions were stupid or premature, and I felt like I was in the driver's seat.

Dr. Zhou provides gynecologic and obstetric care with a special interest in abnormal uterine bleeding and pap smears, fibroids, low- and high-risk pregnancy, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), contraception, family planning, hysteroscopy and robotic-assisted surgery. Dr. Zhou always loved science and getting to know people and medicine was the perfect blend of both. In college, one of her first experiences in medicine was shadowing an OB/GYN and watching a Cesarean section, and she felt it was an awe-inspiring experience.Philosophy of care
