Dr. Young is a wonderful doctor. She always had my best interests in mind, and gives me valuable advice. I trust her with my life.

The test results were not back yet. She said the tests would take 15-20 minutes.? She listened with the stethoscope and said there was mucus on my bronchials. She prescribed an Albuterol inhaler and said to use Benadryl for nasal congestion. I hadn't named that as one of my symptoms. She said to use 25 mg every 4 hours. She said I could either wait there for the test results or else she would call me at home.. I wasn't sure which was better, but was inclined to wait in the V lobby. She didn't encourage waiting, so Iwent to the pharmacy. The visit Summary stated I had an Upper respiratory tract infection, unspecified type and also bronchitis. The V pharmacist strongly advised against the Benadryl, saying it's highly sedating and I wouldn't B be able to drive safely, plus it wasn't a very good decongestant. I hurrying home, hoping I hadn't missed Dr Young's call. There was no call that evening. Instead, she put the results on the Patient Portal, which I couldn't access. So I had to wait and call the office next day to learn the test results.

I realized after leaving that an issue I had told the nurse was not brought up by the doctor.

Dr Young is very attentive and thorough, which is much appreciated. I trust her. I have been seeing her for many years, long before Optum took over the practice.

I never feel rushed with Dr Young. She always takes whatever time I need.

The doctor's attention to the medical records on the computer now take precedence over every other aspect of a doctor visit, making it feel so impersonal.

Did not have any discussion about proposed treatment, as it was a follow up... However you don't have an N/A option

Dr Young was very clear about my situation and the pharmaceutical options available to me and why.

We talked about my fluid buildup and stopping one of my Blood pressure meds while I was traveling. She upped my one BP med that I'm not taking but no discussion of other options other than to say to someone outside the room after she left that my PA could deal with me. Since I can't get an appointment for 3 months at least that did not set well and also that she did not tell me that but I overheard her say that to someone after she left the room was not good on her part. I also asked about a possible hernia from recent surgery and she expressed surprise from where my scar was located, but did not investigate the hernia other than to say it was likely to be one from observing my scar and belly from across the room.

Dr. Young is an excellent doctor. She is very knowledgeable and experienced, and always gives me the best care and treatment. She has always given me the best advice, concerning my health, medicines and treatments. She always listens to me, and responds quickly when I need her help. I feel very grateful to have her as my doctor.

Not sure what records she had for me or the time she had to look them over. She is not my primary care physician. This is the third doctor I have been scheduled to see since Aug or Sept because my PA had not been available any of those times.
