She didn't really seem to understand my questions/ concerns but we ultimately got it figured out.

I feel like the clinician did not accurately listen to me, since one of the issues I described was completely ignored. And the opposite of what I said, was listed on my discharge summary. I also felt very much dismissed. I received the stereotypical It's just anxiety Answer from the provider.

Dr Pan had a hard time convincing me to start treatment for Parkinson's immediately after diagnosing me with it back in February. She tried, but I wasn't ready. I had to do my own research and live with the disease for awhile. I went back to see her to ask for MAO-B inhibitors and she educated me. She is a good doctor. I am a difficult patient.

Dr. Pan is one of my favorite providers! She is so knowledgeable, thorough and exceptionally kind and professional. Dr. Pan is always optimistic and positive, extremely accessible and an excellent communicator. She has given me comfort and hope when dealing with my migraines. I am forever thankful to Dr. Pan for her clinical expertise. Lastly, her sense of humor is greatly appreciated when dealing with stressful situations.

Dr. Pan questioned why I didnt see my primary care provider for this. I had a referall and a prior appointment that I cancelled when I thought it was resolved. She also said that it seemd like an issue better served by my Physical therapist. I told her it seemed to be severe nerve pain related to prior Issues, but that a PT exercise had made it worse. I wanted her opinion as a neurologist and I felt she was dismissive. Though she did prescribe a course of Prednisone that has really helped my pain. I left not wanting to see her again.

There was an extremely strong focus on only the headache and aura components of migraines, which limited my ability to explain the other symptoms I usually experience that have more impact on my life.I indicated early on that headache was not my major issue with migraines. Yet that continued to dominate the conversation, and made me feel like the entire reason I re-entered the medical system after a very long time was being invalidated.I've been suffering from, and learning much about, migraines for over two years. They consist of several distinct phases. I tried to explain my experience with these phases but was continuously redirected back toward headaches.
