Provider clearly prepared for this visit as he checked all recent related procedures,Evidently a CT scan ordered for an unrelated illness not related to GI Issues did showed I was much healthier for the serious illness he hadpreviously diagnosed. With the new CT scan information he told me I did not need the very expensive medication he had prescribed me for about a year. I was glad for that. But then he complained that these scans were overused in the medical world generally. I said nothing. Nevertheless, that unexpected information with that scan, if it had been done earlier, would have saved me over $1000 in drug costs plus especially the emotional stress of a diagnosis of a near failing gastrointestinal organ. I am sure this provider followed protocols but those protocols were inadequate and did me some harm.
