Very reassuring; that concern would be addressed. Fully explained treatment plan, and the why. Felt very confident going forward; like I was in good hands. Also, great bedside manner; very compassionate.

She came in and said what are you here for? And during the appointment I told her I was on HRT and she said, hat's absurd. No doctor should speak to a patient like this.

Dr McLennan entered the room with an attitude. In a harsh tone she asked why are you here?' No pleasantries. I explained about having a post menopausal period and that my doctor had recommended a follow up with her after we completed a pap and internal ultrasound to rule out anything more serious. I brought in recent hormone and CBC blood results that I had done at my naturopath doctors office. Dr McLennan harshly stated that she would not look at them' and refuses to co manage my care with another doctor!' I did not ask her to co manage my care. I only brought the test results in to give her more info so she could see the whole picture and determine what is going on with my body. She then lectured me about naturopathic medicine vs allopathic medicine and was very judgmental on the bioidentical hormone replacement therapy I was doing to at my naturopath office to help with my menopause symptoms. She made it clear she did not agree with the treatment. I started to cry because she was so harsh and explained that I haven't been sleeping and feel horrible because of the menopause symptoms and over the worry of my recent post menopausal period. She showed zero empathy and then harshly stated well what do you want to address today?, because I don't have time for everything'. To be honest I wasn't really sure what the appt would entail so I didn't know what to expect or even ask for. I got very quiet at this point and didn't feel safe in her presence in my emotional and physically exhausted state. I was there for help and she was just rude and harsh. I should have just ended the appt and told her I didn't like the way she was talking to me or treating me but I stayed and just took her poor treatment. I felt defeated. She then told me that we should do an internal biopsy of my uterus because the lining was a certain width. I agreed. She stepped out to get her assistant and came back into do the biopsy and was like a different person in front of her assistant and was more human to me. Is she bipolar? The procedure was VERY uncomfortable and I bled a lot following the appt and had internal abdominal cramps for two days after the appt. She did end the appt with some pleasantries and gave me some printed info on other methods to treat menopause and told me it if I wanted to come back we could discuss FDA approved hormone replacement therapy as it was safer and more regulated than the bio identical HRT that I have been using from my local compounding pharmacy. I tried to explain that the reason I went to a naturopath for relief from menopause symptoms was because I asked my previous doctor with optum for help and he said absolutely not, HRT causes cancer'. He told me to eat less and exercise more to treat my symptoms No one should be treated this way when trying to seek help from a medical provider. I left the appt and cried again on my way home and also when I got home. I realize I was tired from not being able to sleep and that was compounded by Dr McLennans poor treatment and gaslighting behaviors. She clearly needs some empathy training. I work in health care and would NEVER think about treating a patient or talking to a patient the way she did to me. Shame on her!

Seemed as though bedside manner went out of the window when the doctor walked in, I was really excited to finally have answers and it seems as though all my concerns were thrown out the window and felt ridiculed for my struggles with birth control

Dr. Mclennan was prepared having reviewed my medical records, prior to the exam. She educated me on my diagnosis, current and preventative treatment measures. She assured me that my condition has improved since I was seen a month prior. She told me that the new medication started a month ago will be something that I will need to be on long term. She recommended that I come back for a recheck in three months and have a gynecology exam annually moving forward.

I only wish prior to the appointment I had a little more information about the specific procedure. I learned from my family member who is a PCP not from the office.

Provider kept cutting me off to dismiss my symptoms instead of listening to me. I wanted to tell her all of my symptoms and what was going on, and couldn't. I felt completely disrespected and invalidated honestly, and I was let down because I had really been looking forward to that appointment after being in so much pain for so long.

I absolutely am appalled about my treatment from the doctor this time as I stated in my previous responses, she was very condescending and disrespectful and put down and gaslighting. I will never see her again. I'm very disappointed in her behavior. She's always kind of been rough but this time it was absolutely beyond appropriate.
