Dr Smyth is the benchmark for patient centered care. She goes beyond concerns with biologic structure and functioning and listens intensely to understand the experience of symptoms and suffering. She is an anchoring force because of her liveliness and commitment to the wellbeing of her patients. In lieu of going through the motions of modern medicine emphasis on efficiency, commercialization and the quick formulation of a clinical fix, she offers the genuine care of fullness of being which makes you feel understood. If I were a physician engineer, she would be the best doctor to collaborate in infusing humanism into data and technologies through her sense of caregiving as a defining existential act of benevolence.

Dr. Smyth enjoys treating both men and women, from age 16 and above. She is interested in preventive medicine as well as managing chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
