Not good not bad service. Asked me to schedule another video appointment after l done with in-person visit and l just have a question regarding my blood sugar result. During my in-person visit, she did not provide me with any useful recommendations regarding my rapid growth of grey hair over the last half year at age[omitted] while she repetitively emphasize genetic and l am getting old. She did not recommend me to do my cholesterol or other exams until l ask if l should do it as it's been two years, then she said yes based on my family history.

The only slightly positive thing was that she had at least the vaguest idea of what my complaint was (headache) and had seen that my brain MRI was normal.However, it felt like she had decided what the problem was before she even entered the room, and nothing I said was going to change her mind. She seemed to think I was just having frequent migraines---but my symptoms do not support this. She did not listen when I described symptoms that were inconsistent with migraines. (And for some reason she avoided using that word, simply calling them headaches---but the way she spoke about it and the medication she prescribed suggest that is what she thought. Presumably, this was so I wouldn't try to argue that I'm not having actually having migraines, which feels sketchy and deceptive.) She dismissed my theory about what is actually going on without even considering it. I understand that patients probably frequently come in with an incorrect self-diagnosis after some brief googling, but I have done significant research (including several academic papers, resources from doctors who specialize in this concern, and patient experiences), and I was not given a chance to explain what led me to my conclusion. Even presuming I hadn't done that research, it is poor practice to immediately dismiss a patient's concerns without adequately explaining why they're incorrect.She then prescribed medication that I believe is inappropriate and told me to take it at the onset of a headache. This is nonsense---the onset of the headache was 2.5 weeks ago, and it has been constant since then, a fact I told her multiple times. When I brought it up again after she mentioned the medication, she did not respond in any way or even give an indication that she had heard me. I picked it up from the pharmacy anyway because it was cheap and I figured I might as well see if it helps... But then I read the information sheet contained in the box. It specifically says not to prescribe it to people with no history of migraines without first ruling out other possibilities, which she absolutely did not do. Furthermore, it also specifically says it's not indicated for cluster headaches, which for some reason is the concern noted on the after visit summary she handed me, even though my symptoms do not align with that either and she did not say anything that suggested she thought that's what I have.Worst of all, one of the specific super bad, you might die, don't even think of doing this contraindications for the medication was a history of neurovascular disease, and one of the side effects is an increase in the risk of a stroke. The first doctor I saw for this condition noted a possibility of cerebral venous thrombosis, which causes strokes. This would only be ruled out by an MRV, which was ordered by the first doctor but hadn't been done yet when this doctor wrote the prescription. (I have since had an MRV, though I am still waiting on results.) I am not a doctor, and perhaps I'm misunderstanding the implications here, but it seems to me that this was a huge mistake on her part. While I think it is unlikely I actually have CVT, it was incredibly irresponsible of her to prescribe this medication before ruling it out. At the absolute minimum, she should have explained the risks of the medication so that I could make an informed decision about whether or not to risk it.To summarize: she determined what she thought the problem was before speaking to me, did not listen when I described my symptoms, dismissed my thoughts about what's going on without explanation, and prescribed medication that is inappropriate at best and dangerous at worst. She is a terrible doctor, and I will never return to her.

I don't think [omitted] gives providers enough time to go over patient files. They give providers way too many patients to see in unreasonable increments of time. Briana Garvie meets these expectations but I can only imagine the toll it is taking on her and the rest of staff working for [omitted]

Did not review my records before meeting me. I had to remind the doctor of the issues I listed in the concern area of the form I completed. She also failed to order blood work for my on-going issue that was always tested as part of my annual visit. Now I have to schedule another appointment for this. Costing me more money and time for another visit.
