The person from Optum who contacted me for a phone interview a week prior to this appointment said she would get ahold of the doctor's office to make sure orders for my lab work would be submitted to the lab before my visit. It turned out that some orders were submitted, but not all -- for example, no urine analysis was performed. Again, I think the phone interview was just a waste of time, I didn't think I had to contact the doctor myself to make sure the correct lab orders were submitted.
