I came in with severe abdominal pain. Dr Mackessy said it was a UTI and prescribed a sulfate. Three days later the test results were posted as negative. However the medicine had wiped out my gut flora , leaving me with C-diff, horrible pain, nausea and diarrhea, resulting in a 16 pound weight loss and a traumatic trip to the emergency room.
