Shank Fruchter demonstrated excellent bed side manner and took the time to clearly review anything I had questions on. She was great at reassuring me of a plan and impact of choices over the next year tied with my other personal medical issues that would impact my overall care if needed.
She didn’t rush me & gave me a thorough examination. Dr. Fruchter listened to my concerns & answered all my questions, putting me at ease about my upcoming surgery.
Dr Fruchter listens, explains everything, will repeat it if you don't understand and when I had a problem with the incision over the Thanksgiving weekend her PA & she both got back to me immediately. They didn't make you feel bad about calling on a holiday weekend, but was only concerned for your well being.
She listened,friendly manner and was patient and was receptive to questions.

This was my first time with the Dr. and we went through my medical history and was very interested in my over health.She made me feel very comfortable and was pleasant to deal with.

She gave me a ridiculous radical suggestion based on no change whatever in my history since taking tamoxifen getting mris doing mammos and Sonos yearly and getting 2 clinical breast exams yearly and doing monthly self checks and getting enhanced mammo where A I looks at it not knowing history. A dr friend was appalled

Shani J. Fruchter, DO, is a board-certified breast surgeon who focuses on the surgical treatment of breast cancer. She is known for combining advanced surgical care with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Dr. Fruchter earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed general surgery training at Hackensack University Medical Center. She went on to complete fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Fruchter believes in guiding patients through their care with empathy, clear communication, and shared decision-making. She works closely with each patient to create an individualized treatment plan that reflects their needs, values, and goals.
