Regina spent more time with me and went over more information in 5 minutes than any other doctor at Crystal Run ever has. She was extremely professional, provided me with information and options for treatment, and really spent the time you listen and understand my concerns.

I waited 1hr40min in the waiting room to be called. I asked the Med Asst if this kind of wait was common, as I already had another appt scheduled with this dr, and she said, she's thorough but I might want to choose the first appt of the day. I was optimistic about this doctor. When I met with the doctor the exam was going fine until she asked me what other concerns I had, I shared two and she was dismissive. She said one of my concerns, affecting between 5-10% of women wasnt something she was focused on, she 'focused on blue collar issues' like labor and delivery, which implied my issue wasnt important or was too 'white collar' to be even discussed? She offered no insights, no hope, just said, its a tough problem that no one knows what causes it and its tough to treat, so I focus on things that bring joy like childbirth. I have never felt so dismissed and unimportant to a physician. I didnt feel an ounce of compassion or that purported thoroughness.

She was so rude from the moment she saw me! First she thought it was my appendix after I explained it was a week from my cycle starting and this happens every month but this was the worst. While asking for insight on what could be wrong with me she constantly belittled me and talked to me as if I was LOOKING for surgery When I was looking for answers. A week after I saw her I went to OBGYN of Poughkeepsie after one examination I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis with possible endometriosis. She was extremely heartless to my pain and did not want to help me in my time of need. I was extremely disappointed by the level of care I received in my time of desperation and need

Dr. Fitzgerald is experienced, understanding, responsive, and whether her or her nurse contacted me, they have took time and explained things to me. This small journey in my personal situation was very sad to me, and she not only as a doctor but emotionally helped me because she was just a message away and her confidence and understanding made me feel safe, secure and comfortable during this time. She has fully gained my trust as a patient.

She coldly informed me that I actually had just 1 miscarriage, because the other was a chemical pregnancy. She could have provided the same information with compassion, acknowledging that the emotional component is still the same. Instead, my experience was dismissed. After telling her that the reason I was there was to see if any testing could be done to help see if I was able to carry to term, her flippant recommendation was that I just try to conceive again, as if my second miscarriage was nothing and that wouldn't give me pause in moving forward. When I explained that I wasn't positive that I wanted to have children (again, given my experience), she asked in a snide tone well then what are we even doing here? And this entire conversation was done with her slouching low in a char, as if this was just wasting her time. I am a patient and empathetic person who understands that people have off days, but I have never been more disrespected in my life, and she should consider retiring if she's that bothered by patients.
