Megan Pierce, MD, FACOG

I love and respect Dr. Pierce. I believe she is genuinely concerned for her patients and is well versed in her field. She takes the time for personal contact and questioning. Answered emails via the portal relatively promptly and provided reassurance during potentially concerning medical testing. Probably one of the best OB/GYN doctors I have been treated by.....and I have had Fertility specialists and urogynecologists as well. She is thorough but not rough. Expedient but compassionate and approachable.

Dr. Pierce was competent, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. She treated me with dignity, kindness, patience, and like a human being, which I really appreciated. She did the operation on me and my body healed well. I did not have any problems after the surgery. She is a wonderful doctor, and I am so thankful that I finally have a great gynecologist.

With Medicare I can only see her every 2 years. She remembered information from my last visit and it was as if I had just seen her 3 months ago instead of 2 years. She gave me my mammogram results and bone density results as well.

Dr Pierce took the time with me and listened to me. She was understanding and listened to my concerns and explained everything to me.

Dr Pierce was with me for all 3 of my pregnancies. She delivered my second baby. I had a great experience with her for the first 2 pregnancies. For the third pregnancy I was unable to get appointments with her during the particular weeks I needed them. When I went for my 16 week appointment, I was 18 weeks pregnant. Dr Pierce had to give me the terribly horrible news that there was no heartbeat. She told me it could be worse, it could have happened later. She never followed up with me to check if I was ok, or had any questions, or to check how the surgery went. I was very disappointed since she was the only doctor I saw with all 3 of my pregnancies. I was not a new patient, I was an established patient who has been with her for over 6 years and multiple pregnancies. This was the worst day and experience of my life, and she never followed up. Prior to the pregnancy loss, Dr Pierce was great about getting me in for a last minute ultrasound at 14 weeks and getting me in to a cardiologist. For the pregnancy loss procedures and surgery I worked with the optum OB team in Poughkeepsie and Vassar hospital. They were wonderful.

Fantastic doctor cared for me throughout my first pregnancy. Not rushed answered questions carefully. Typically easy to contact on portal for quick questions and documentation, but day I suspected going into labor, I couldnt get in touch.

I just saw her for the first time, since my previous dr. has left. She spent time with me, she was listening, was not rushed. We chatted about my weight issues and she gave some good ideas. Liked her!
