The referring surgeon's office sent the wrong pathology report, and no one realized until I was in the procedure room for my surgery. I was becoming nervous about the amount of time it was taking to get the correct report and about the doctor being rushed to review it and perform my surgery. I felt much more at ease once Dr. Nowillo came to see me and review the report. Even though I had obviously become a speed bump in her day's schedule, she showed no signs of being bothered or in a hurry. She was kind and personable. She had credible self-confidence without arrogance, which made me feel I could trust her.

Dr. Karoline S. Nowillo, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. She was recognized as a Forty Under Forty Award recipient by the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce for her professional and community impact. She completed advanced training in reconstructive microsurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Nowillo has received Forty Under Forty and Rising Star recognition.
