Dr Espana listen to my concerns and try to correct as best possible
Dr. Espana was just OK. It didn’t feel like he was that interested in getting to know me or that excited about being a doctor in general. After my visit, he sent me a very brief MyChart message that said my labs were normal, but a few of my labs were outside the normal range. He didn’t address them. I sent a follow-up message requesting clarification and I haven’t received a response. I recognize this may not be his fault and that it is more likely due to Optum’s understaffing of the Clinical Support Pools.
He is an excellent doctor; very thorough, very personable and very knowledgeable. He always gives me a satisfactory explanation of any issues I’m dealing with.
Dr. Espana takes the time to talk to you & listen to what is said. He thoroughly explains his plan of care & shows genuine compassion.

Turnstyle approach to seeing patients as quickly as possible. Wasn't very proactive during my physical. I've never had a physical where the physician doesn't conduct a physical examination. He seems to always be in a rush to get in and get out.
