My knee replacement surgery went very smoothly. My recovery is much better than I expected . I have a pencil line scar up and down my knee. I have had minimal pain. I couldn't ask for better than that

I think Dr Hawkins is an excellent surgeon, my total knee replacement went very well. Unfortunately I feel Optum doesn’t allow enough time for Dr’s appointments. I had a follow up recently and after checking my knee he was running out the door while I was asking questions.

He explained the need for the surgery. Although I did not see Dr. Hawkins after the surgery, he called person who accompanied me and informed them of how the surgery went and my results. He had his office follow up with me to monitor my progress. During follow up appointments he informed me of my progress and answered my questions.
