I have the impression that Dr. Yamada has the patient's interest foremost, not creating income for the Optum corporation - aka medical group

She is wonderful! She is kind, compassionate and caring. She listens attentively to all concerns and makes excellent recommendations.

The only reason I stay with Optum is because Pa few outstanding physicians. Dr Yamada is one of them. Optum is fortunate to have her. Hire more competent receptionists and call center staff. The turnover and overall incompetence is staggering.

Dr. Yamada has been my doctor for the last seven years. She is extremely kind and compassionate. I never feel rushed when I’m in her office. She answers all my questions with patience and caring. She is always aware of what’s going on with other doctors I see and always gives me good advice.

She is the best! Extremely caring, knowledgeable, communicative, thorough and invested in caring for people and in her patient’s wellbeing. Great bedside manner as well. I recommend her often.

She has a very pleasant bedside manner. I thought she was very thorough. That said, the whole appointment process was unpleasant- I booked the appointment online thru the portal. The earliest appointment was more than 6 months out (which I took). 2 months prior to the appointment her office attempted to cancel it saying her practice was closed I protested. Nonetheless the appointment issue was raised in the notes, and mentioned during the visit. The appointment process is out of my hands and clearly an OPTUM issue. I should not have to apologize for getting an appointment.
