Dr. Tu is a very caring doctor. Dr. Tu listens very well to what’s bothering you and comes up with a solution to help fix what is bothering you.
I'm a diabetic, Dr.Tu prescribed a CGM about 2-3 years ago. I thought the CGM was prescribed to help me regulate my sugar, something to improve my overall health. Recently I've been getting a double copayment for him reading the monitor, something in the past I was never charged for. The monitor gives the same information about my A1C as the blood test I'm given routinely. Since I questioned why this is and why I'm getting double billed, which no one at the office could tell me why, my prescription was revoked and my insurance won't pay for the monitor. This only tells me that Dr.Tu and Optum do not care about the person they're treating only the profit they can achieve. So much for the oath a doctor takes. I will make sure anyone who asks for a referral for a doctor knows this.

I moved upstate NY and with a Optum 1 5 miles away from my new home, I still take the 78 mile trip to Bethpage just to see Dr. Tu for my visits!!
