He is extremely professional and knowledgeable.. but seem to bristle at my question regarding his experience with my particular surgery. His response was “ If you aren’t comfortable with using me I can give you the name of another competent doctor.” That took me by surprise because it was my first time seeing him and therefore I was certainly interested in his personal previous experience with my particular surgery. It was not my position to challenge or insult him.. just to get a feel for his years of experience or previous surgical experience.. anyway he just said something like I’ve done plenty of these before.. or something along those lines. I assured him that on the suggestion of a dear friend I trusted her n therefore him.

Dr Wong seems like a very competent doctor with a pretty bad bedside manner. He is condescending, doesn't explain options well, doesn't give a fuller picture of the medical situation I have been dealing with, or other things to expect/prepare for. He seems to be *trying* to be nice but it seems very hard for him to do. It feels like he is annoyed to answer my questions. Had I known there was a different corneal specialist, I definitely would have chosen someone else. I am grateful for the nurse/PA who was with me initially at this last appt because she was super helpful and answered my questions. I've had to see Dr Wong 4 times for my condition and I dread having to see him each time.

He explained everything that was gonna be done he talked to me in terms that I understood. And he seems to be a very caring person. Which makes him an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him to anybody looking to get the procedure done that I had done.

Repeat of my answer to #1. : Doctor was knowledgeable but impatient and condescending, so establishing a working relationship was difficult.

Dr. Wong answered my questions. Very nice and explained what was going to be done. He checked the cataracts and stated they are not to a level that requires surgery to correct the issue.

Not very caring. Very aloof and cold. He rushed through the exam and was more interested in getting to the next patient. Definitely needs help in his bedside manners.

I arrived at 2:30 and was taken to exam room fairly quickly. I then sat, with nobody ever checking, in for over half an hour. It was clear that other visits were going overtime, because I could hear things going on in the hallway and from other exam rooms,but that still doesn’t excuse the fact that when the doctor came in the room, he was very brusque, speed through the exam, and then had his back to me 97% of the time, filling out a form shoved a bunch of prescriptions at me with no comment and seemed irritated at my questions and was just basically rude and didn’t discuss any of the medication’s. I felt completely dismissed as a patient and that I was just someone to be shunted out the door as quickly as possible. He didn’t ask for much history, or things that might be contributing to my issues. It all felt very perfunctory and lacking empathy and care.
