SHE IS CARING.
Overall, I’ve been pleased with the service provided by Dr. Heckman. However, my last visit was stressful. After waiting an hour to be seen, I expected more than just an update on my blood results; I wanted a dialogue about a treatment plan for my overall health. Unfortunately, Dr. Heckman was initially not receptive to my suggestions. Towards the end of the visit, after consulting a colleague, she seemed more open, which I appreciated. It would be beneficial if there were a greater emphasis on listening to my concerns and collaborating on my care.
I am very satisfied
I thought she was very easy to talk to. Plus she seemed to be very knowledgeable about diabetes. She asked me about nodules on my thyroid and said she would have me retested to determine if any treatment is needed. She was very kind and patiently answered my questions.
