I am filing a complaint regarding Dr.ANUPAM GUPTA], who prescribed a medication that is contraindicated for someone with my documented history of thyroid problems. My medical record clearly shows longstanding thyroid instability, yet the doctor prescribed a medication known to negatively affect thyroid function. This placed me at risk of harm and showed a disregard for my medical history and safety. The medication is SEROQUL I have a history of thyroid problems and high sensitivity to medications that affect thyroid levels. Prescribing Seroquel without considering your thyroid history can: Push T4 lower Push TSH higher Cause metabolic and sleep disruption Interfere with your already delicate thyroid balance I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto for over 25 years,my medication according to my Doctor KANG, needed to be lowered, why this Doctor wanted to address my sleep problems with Seroquel is crazy, have no history of bipolar or Schizophrenia.Infact I have been a law enforcement officer for over 25 years;
