Amy Fleming is not only very competent but also extremely caring in her approach to the whole person who is her patient. She takes the time to listen, asks pertinent questions, is gentle and thorough in her examination, offers professional advice on tests, follow-up, etc. She calls almost immediately when she has results of recommended procedures, which is a rarity! I wish more of my medical personnel were like Amy Fleming. I feel fortunate to be her patient.

Cnm Fleming was professional, and I don't really have any issues with her personally. What stood out to me was how rushed the appointment felt overall. It seemed less about her not wanting to listen and more about the pressure to see as many patients as possible in a short time. While she did hear what I said, there wasn't really any space for a true discussion. I don't need a hand holding doctor, but I left the visit feeling a bit disoriented-it felt like I was a car in a NASCAR pit stop. I think. a little more time to ask questions or clarify would make the experience feel better. This is a general overall feeling I get with Optum lately. I had a similar experience during an urgent care visit, where the doctor had his hand on the doorknob the entire time, really weird. I will say, that I do not get this feeling with anyone in the pediatric dept when bringing my daughter for visits--please don't change that!
