Dr Rodriguez DeArmas explained everything and showed so much concern about my heart rate falling below 40. I was hospitalized and she said immediately we need to do the CTA and Echocardiogram

I don't know her that well yet but she didn't explain things clearly, gave me wrong information (I asked if they can diagnose POTS there or what Dr that would be & she said the heart monitor would tell her that and that's not even a way to diagnose POTS so that was ignored/ gaslit or wrong). If I have to act like the expert just to advocate for my own health care what is a specialist even for? I had to tell her about how 2 of my medications & how they interact may be the problem and tell her I was seeing my psych the next day & im expecting her will change it so the follow up to get the monitor needs to wait. But she should have known about the interaction and how it affects BP & pulse just by looking at my medications. So not a great first encounter.

My lasts visits with Dr. Rodriguez were great. This one, was unfortunately way too quick. I had so many I answered questions. She is always very kind, very caring, but this time, it was rushed. I'm having surgery next month and wanted questions answered. And the technician or medical assistant was very cold and uncaring. Maybe they were having a busy day, but I wasn't happy with this visit. I do appreciate this doctor. I am hoping my surgery goes well.

Although my appointment was at 8:30 am I waited over an hour and then felt very rushed during the visit. Had to actually ask the doctor to wait and let me explain or show her something.

Dr. Rodriguez has been my wife's Primary Cordiologist for the past 4 or 5 years. When I was referred to a cardiologist, immediately, I asked for Dr. Rodriguez. Unfortunately, SWM does not have many cardiologists. The doctor was booked and I needed a clearance for a kidney transplant. I was assigned a different doctor, whom I saw once. But as soon as I had the opportunity to switch to Dr. Rodriguez, I immediately took the appointment even if I had to wait a long time. She is gentle, and calm. Her best natural quality is that she listens to her patients and lets us know when the issues are beyond what she is able to do for us. I like her honesty, and willingness to get us the best treatment. (Sometimes, it depends on the insurance) I am certain that she will do the best to do so. I really hope she stays for a long time.
