I am beyond frustrated with my experience at this office. I originally stayed with this practice because Shanna McManus was amazing and actually listened to me, but now that she’s gone, the level of care has plummeted. I came in with specific symptoms pointing to Sjögren’s, including severe dry mouth, which Shanna and I had already discussed. This new doctor completely dismissed my lived experience and told me she didn't think I had it without a proper workup. It felt like because my issue wasn't an emergency, it didn't matter to her. Worse, I needed a very specific medical note for my upcoming board exam accommodations. We agreed on the criteria. Even after I sent a follow up email with the exact wording needed, she ignored it, as shown by the letter not including a very simple line that does not even have to do with any medical treatment. Because of this, I am now being denied the accommodations I actually need for my health. I know that my problem is not a huge deal considering what comes in that office, but this note was really important to me. Between the dismissive attitude and the lack of professional follow-through on a simple paperwork request, I’m leaving this practice. I am confident that my doctor will not care, but I cannot trust someone who doesn't value what I say or what I think is important. I'm sure she's a great physician, but this visit did not show that. I would tell other patients to go somewhere else.
