Dr NISHIENA GANDHI has been my doctor for years. She was one of 1st doctors to diagnose and have test run on me . Plus told told me I had neuropathy in my feet. Also sent ne to a pain and spine specialist. She also told me how to do a treatment plan. She has been great at explaining the treatment. She has always treated me with respect and kindness. A few years back I had a reaction to a medication. When I called her office later 1st I had to go through receptionist. Then they put me through to her assistant. Later that day Dr Gandhi called me herself . Dr Gandhi is extremely busy because she's an extremely excellent doctor. So it takes 4-6 months to see her. Dr Gandi is extremely booked up. I have no idea why Optum is getting rid of a great doctor. I might have to change to LOVELESS OR ASK MY INSURANCE WHO ELSE I CAN GET TREATMENT FROM. WHAT A DUMB DECISION OPTUM MADE. PROBABLY IT HAS TO DO WITH MONEY. CHARGE HIGH PRICE FOR HEALTHCARE AND PLACE ROOKIES OR LOW PAYING DOCTORS IN REPLACEMENT. I wonder how many other disgruntled patients will be using Optum. Once we find a better facilities. Im sure things will change again

She was very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to me and treat me as a person. She looked me in the eyes and was compassionate instead of having her head buried in the computer during the visit.

Because she is extremely thorough, attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. TOO BAD you are closing your neurology clinic. This decision makes my head explode. Someone in Corporate needs a spanking.

She has great communication; she explained topics and answered questions in a respectful manner. Additionally, she didn't assume anything first, she pulled up medical records from other practices and doctors then asked questions. Attentive and friendly are hard to come by in the specialty.

I haven't made up my mind yet about her. I don't recall her mentioning anything about the risks of the procedures but she claimed she did in the avs, although nothing noteworthy has happened as of yet. She was very personable and she seemed quite proficient so I was comfortable enough to be candid with her. On further review of some of her statements however, I disagree significantly on the issue of nitrofurantoin vs cefuroxime. Also, and most importantly, among the followup tests she ordered subsequent to the examination, she included an ANA, which leaves me bewildered as to her reasoning for inclusion of a test that screens for autoimmune dysfunction. It seems as though she wont answer my questions that I've addressed to her by phone. Moreover she's ordered a followup test even though the titer was only 1:40 whereas the conventional lower threshold of concern is 1:80. I wrote to her only yesterday [omitted] so hopefully she will give me a cogent reply shortly. To conclude, the jury is still out, so to speak.
