Marlyn Newby, NP

I'm not extremely happy with Marlyn right now. A problem came up with my thyroid. I do understand that this was not the main reason for my appointment, but I expected that she might palpate my thyroid to see if there was a mass, and that at the very least she would advise me on what dose of levothyroxine I should be taking now and when I should get retested. She did none of those things. She simply referred me to an endocrinologist, with no guidance whatsoever on how to deal with this urgent issue in the meantime. The doctor she wanted me to see is not available for months, but I was able to make an appointment with a PA at Optum Endocrinology. I still should not have been left to myself for weeks, unsure what to do, with this going on.

Because she's very upfront with you.

She is the absolute best. Having said that, she is very busy and getting appointments take time. When you want the best, sometimes you have to wait.

After being seen by Marlyn for several years I’m becoming disappointed in how she typically rushes me out as fast as possible every time it’s just her providing the care. This has been occurring for over a year now.

In recent days she is in a hurry most of the time and very less time given to patient. Unable to give appointment sooner or on urgent basis.

Very satisfied and like her.
