In recent days she is in a hurry most of the time and very less time given to patient. Unable to give appointment sooner or on urgent basis.

The staff at Montgomery facility explained after I arrived that she is not really available and is going to be going to shortened hours and fewer days. They could not explain why the call center put me with her considering all this but said it has been happening a lot lately. I spent most of a day talking with call centers, visiting facilities that supposedly had open providers. The call center clearly gave me false info in order to get me off the phone knowing Marlyn Newby was not taking any more patients. I even questioned the call center that this happens a lot and were they sure she was available, etc. Montgomery office was nice enough and even let me meet her for few minutes assuring me I should call back in late January and then I could get on with the next person replacing her. I think Optum runs a shell game. I was not a bit surprised when I arrived and was told she wasn't available.

Very forgetful. Did NOT use computer. Disorganized and confused. Didn’t remember me from previous visit less than 2 weeks ago.

She was rude, not at all prepared to see me. Did not review my records. Not willing to help me by providing medical clearance for my upcoming surgery. Did not seem to know how to access my medical records on My Chart. Made the medical assistant check my blood sugar even though I told her I had already eaten breakfast. Blamed me for my blood sugar being elevated and for abnormal EKG, even though there was no change from last year. Seemed determined to deny me any help in getting cleared for surgery. I would rather have an MD care for me in the future.
