My name is [omitted], and I am currently enrolled with UnitedHealthcare. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding my recent medical experience. On [omitted], I contacted Dr. Anozie Chidinma through the Optum OpenChat email system to request a drug consultation regarding Tesamorelin, a GHRH analog that stimulates growth hormone release. Tesamorelin is a more potent and specialized medication primarily used to reduce visceral abdominal fat and is often prescribed for metabolic conditions. I am HIV-positive and have been unable to reduce excess abdominal fat through regular diet and exercise alone, which is why I sought medical guidance regarding this treatment option. My most recent contact with Dr. Anozie was on [omitted]. As of today, I have not received any response. Her continued lack of communication makes me feel that my medical concerns are being ignored, which is both frustrating and concerning. I also contacted UnitedHealthcare on [omitted], and spoke with a representative named Bean. Because the Optum Medical Clinic was closed at the time, he informed me that he would reach out to them to determine what was happening. He also stated that no request had ever been submitted through UnitedHealthcare. Bean assured me he would follow up with me on [omitted], at 10:30 a.m.; however, I never received that call. On [omitted], I contacted UnitedHealthcare again. This time, a representative named Jonathan answered the call and disconnected before assisting me. I also attempted to use the online chat service, but that effort failed as well—the representative on the other end never responded. Given these repeated issues, I am deeply concerned about the quality of care and communication I am receiving. It is difficult for me to trust my physician when my medical needs are not being acknowledged and when my overall experience with UnitedHealthcare has been so negative. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and addressed promptly. Sincerely, [omitted] If you’d like, I can also: Make this more formal or more assertive Rewrite it as a formal complaint or grievance letter Adjust it for email submission vs. mailed letter Shorten it while keeping the strongest points Just tell me how you plan to submit it.
