I liked her very much but understand she will not be at Avon from now on. Due to ease of visiting in Avon I do not want to go to PLAINFIELD

She cared and tried to figure out how to lower my blood pressure.

I didn't feel like she took care of the issue. Nothing was done other than prescribing meds. We could have had x-rays done. Because we didn't, now we are waiting on getting orders in and getting everything scheduled. I have communicated 3 times with her since my visit through mychart and she has responded once. Just not the level of care I was expecting.

I gave this rating because I didn’t feel like there was much compassion for my situation. I understand she likely sees several patients and it was early morning. However, I felt incredibly awkward explaining my mental health journey and felt like I was justifying myself most of the appointment. I ended up crying on my way to work afterwards because I felt like she was judging my previous prescriptions and how they had failed after so long of using them. It made me feel like the failure and there’s something wrong with me as a person. While yes, we did establish a different prescription, I felt like the personable aspect was missing and would have been nice to have especially during this type of visit.

Visit was to meet her as sometimes I have personal questions I need to talk to a female about. She was caring.

She listens to me, she’s very caring. She made me feel comfortable even when talking about uncomfortable subjects and I’m considering transferring to her and leaving Marc land behind.

She’s nice, but did not give 100% to do what I needed. Dr Lamb was out, and my insurance would cover Zepbound. Nobody would look at my records and write a PA for zepbound. I had lost 40 lbs last year on zepbound but had to stop taking it in July because my insurance stopped covering it. My coverage changed and now covers Zepbound as of [omitted]. I made the appointment with Angela Geissman to get a PA. I typed up all of my info and reasoning behind using Zepbound in the past for her to have. She looked at it 10 seconds then gave it back to me. Did not read it. She kept pushing wegovy, saying all GLP-1 are the same and it didn’t need a PA. I disagree. Wegovy treats 1 hormone when Zepbound treats two hormones. I tried showing her on my paper that I have insulin resistance which Zepbound helped tremendously. She wrote the reason as severe morbidity. OK, But I have other health issues she didn’t mention…insulin resistance, high blood pressure, neuropathy, back and neck problems including osteoarthritis. Fast forward a week…I get a call from her that my insurance “doesn’t cover Zepbound and never will…ever.” I called my insurance again, and they do cover it but I have to pay the deductible. She insisted I get wegovy so she already called in a script for it. Both are covered, but wegovy costs $1200 per month and Zepbound costs $1000 per month. Once I hit my out of pocket it’s all covered. My plan was to just get Zepbound again and invest in a couple of months until covered. I went to CVS in person. They know me well. They said insurance did NOT reject my PA for Zepbound, but just had a couple of questions to clarify. So Angela Geissman lied to me. It is covered. I was left with trying wegovy. I care about Dr. Lamb and think highly of him. I prayed for him and was totally fine with him taking off for his health. I’m disappointed that the staff covering was not as helpful. It felt like I was a burden on them. I’ve been with Dr. Lamb for 20 years. This incident is what I would categorize as a mediocre level of care.
