He was very nice and answered all my questions but he didn't even check my heart or Lungs. I guess I looked healthy enough for him.

Dr. Douglas does not return any calls I have made to his office. 4 in the past month. My husband has had a stroke and was recently diagnosed with vascular dementia. A neurologist told him that he should not be driving. When my husband reported that to Dr. Douglas 2 weeks later in the office, he told my husband “You know, no one can tell you that legally. A judge has to tell you that.” This comment caused confusion and anxiety in my husband. He then started announcing that his doctor told him he could drive. I have my husband’s legal medical power of attorney. Dr. Douglas refers to me as “ your wife” in the exam room, and directs all comments only to my husband who needs assistance with directions and explanations.

My previous doctor, Dr. Weiss, that I've had for years, recently retired. I was assigned to Dr. Douglas and this was my first time meeting him. Dr. Douglas is not as outgoing or personable as Dr. Weiss, so it will take some time for me to warm up to him. After being with a certain type of doctor for so long, it takes some time to get used to another physician that doesn't have the same personality as your previous doctor.

Dr. Douglas is thorough, listens without judgement and I do not feel rushed during my visits with him.

I have seen Dr. Douglas only one time. He was referred to me as a replacement for my PCP who is leaving Optum the end of May. He is at the Optum Primary Care in [omitted] which is closer for me. we talked about some of my medical issues, prescriptions, and he gave me a referral for a cardiologist nearer to me than the one I have now in [omitted]. My first impression of Dr. Douglas is he is easy to talk to and seems to be concerned about my health.

He is awful; very poor communicator. Didn’t introduce himself and had his face in his phone.

When he walked into my room he did not introduce himself. No greeting of any kind. He was rude and treated me like I was lying about the prescriptions I need. I was telling him about something in my mouth I wanted to get checked out and he said I ran out of time so he left the room again with saying anything as he left. What I was trying to show him would’ve only taken 10 seconds. When he entered the next patients room I heard him say good morning Mrs. so and so and sane with the patient before me I heard him greet them and received no such greeting. Overall he was very rude and clearly didn’t care about me or my issues. The compassion was extremely low and I thought to myself why would anyone choose him as their Dr. I asked the front desk to change my provider on my follow up visit. I would not recommend him to anyone. Ever.
