She seemed knowledgeable . Was polite and respectfully, appropriately empathetic. At least offered to try and help with a new referral for RM Pulmanary when learning they were not returning calls nor informing patients of changes. Did not rush me out and apologized for how I was being treated thru the New System ( a system that wasn't broken...but in my opinion is un-repairably broken now).

Megan is knowledgeable, but there are moments where I have felt rushed and I didn’t appreciate some of the language that was used. During my last visit, we were discussing when my last pap was. When I mentioned it was October of 2023, she asked me if I wanted to do it that day or wait. She said, “well are you promiscuous?” I replied that I had been in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend since 2023 and that we use condoms. After she heard that, I felt as though her tone and body language changed, almost as if it was more accepting because of the answer I gave. I understand the point she was trying to make about the amount of sexual partners and sexual activity could determine whether we should wait, but it was outdated how she addressed it. She could have simply just asked “how many sexual partners have you had recently?” or “how often are you engaging in sexual activity?” As a female provider, I wished she would have been more conscious of the language she used because promiscuous is stigmatizing, and even more for me as a woman of color, specifically a Black woman. If I were to have multiple partners recently, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable disclosing that because of the word promiscuous being used and feeling judged.

Unfortunately she was very unprepared for my appointment. We only discussed two of three medications I am taking. I also got the impression she was very closed minded about how to treat skin irritations I had been having
