Dr. Tewes removes my anxiety about seeing a doctor, anxiety about my health issues, and always makes me feel more hopeful about moving forward with my health journey. He always answers questions in a manner that is not dismissive, nor authoritarian, making me feel that he is not pushing me towards any specific treatment, nor dragging me towards it, but rather that he is by my side, encouraging and reassuring me as we set goals for my ongoing health care. This is something rare in many physicians, even those at Optum. When one of my previous doctors, Dr. Richard Evans, relocated up to Briargate, I had difficulty finding another doctor at the Tenderfoot location who had these qualities, who was accepting new patients. It took several tries before I was blessed enough to find Dr. Tewes. I hope that he will remain with Optum, at the Tenderfoot offices for the remainder of my lifetime. He has the qualities that define a wonderful doctor, rather than just a doctor. I am blessed to have him as my Primary Care Physician.
