Optum® Home Delivery Pharmacy is a full service mail order pharmacy with the convenience of delivering medications directly to your home. Benefits include free standard shipping, 24/7 pharmacist access and more.

To order with Optum Home Delivery Pharmacy, your insurance plan must be contracted with Optum Home Delivery Pharmacy. If you’re not sure if your plan is contracted with Optum Home Delivery Pharmacy, please call the number on the back of your ID card.

Optum Home Delivery Pharmacy offers market-competitive pricing on available medications, with free standard shipping on all orders. We also provide a variety of ways you may save on your prescriptions such as switching to a 3-month supply, generic alternatives and more.

If your order has no copay or coinsurance, a payment method is not needed. For all other orders you can pay by credit or debit card, HSA or FSA card or ACH check-by-phone.

Yes, your healthcare provider can send your prescription order directly to Optum Home Delivery with an electronic prescription known as "e-prescribing". Ask your provider to search for "Optum Home Delivery" in their e-prescribing system. If needed, your healthcare provider can also call in a prescription directly to a pharmacist.

You can change the delivery date of your medication by changing the processing date on your medication details page, or, if enrolled in auto-refill, by changing the date your medication is set to refill. Once your order has been processed, your delivery date cannot be changed.

If your medication is out of stock at Optum Home Delivery, we will notify you and work with you to explore alternative options.

We offer pharmacy services to all 50 states and may process some or all of your prescriptions at any of our Optum Pharmacy locations, where allowed by law.

Shipping

Before your order is shipped, we review your prescriptions at multiple points for quality, accuracy and safety to ensure you’re receiving exactly what you ordered; our prescriptions have a 99.998%1 dispensing accuracy rate. If you think that there was an error in filling your prescription, or you have any questions about your order, please contact us.

By law, Optum pharmacies cannot accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale. Accordingly, Optum Home Delivery does not offer credits or refunds for returned medications or supplies that were properly dispensed.

While we cannot accept returns, we encourage you to dispose of your unneeded medications safely. More information on proper disposal is available on our education page.

We are an industry leader in the use of environmentally friendly packaging. Our packaging insulation is biodegradable, recycled cotton, which can be composted or recycled.

If you’re concerned about the timing or security of your delivery, you can contact us to request that your medication requires a signature upon delivery. All deliveries of controlled substances require a signature.

Medications are shipped in discreet, unmarked packages that are also puncture resistant and tamper-evident.

Depending on your plan, we may be able to arrange a bridge supply that you can pick up at a local pharmacy. A bridge supply is a limited amount of medication to ensure your treatment is not interrupted.

All temperature-controlled medications are shipped according to the manufacturer’s guidelines in order to maintain their optimal temperature range. Temperature-controlled medications are shipped in insulated boxes (or coolers).

A combination of frozen and ambient gel packs are also included and adjusted to fit your destination’s temperature. These packs are designed to last up to 60 hours2 in typical shipping conditions, though extreme weather conditions may shorten the life of the pack.
