Went in to complain about upper back / shoulder pain radiating to the top middle of my abdomen . I requested an ultrasound because I suspected it was my gallbladder . Caluya said no , that he’d run my labs and then go from there . Caluya confidently stated it was indigestion because if it was my gallbladder I’d have upper right abdominal pain . He prescribed meds . I never picked up . 2 days later , I got the pain and my husband took me to the emergency room . It was my gallbladder , inflamed , and filled with gallstones . I called optum on Monday to see if I could get any recommendations for a gi specialist or a general surgeon. His office almost immediately gave me a phone call ( that I missed ) & stated that I have ppo insurance and could call the back of my insurance card . I didn’t call back . But they continued to call me back 3x on different days . Why ? I don’t know if they told me to call the back of my insurance card . I really don’t know what experience was worse . Caluya pretending to know my body as if it was his pain or phone calls from his staff telling me I have PPO . I know what insurance I have . I called to get names of gi specialist or surgeons they refer patients to. Please advocate for yourselves , look up doctors on your own , diagnose yourself online , go to the ER , and call the back of your insurance card LOL .

I do not know him but understand he will be my physician when Dr. Rocillio leaves at end of April so i am willing to give him an opportunity to be my doctor. He is pleasant and appears to be a good doctor.

Dr. Calista was very attentive to my concerns and needs. He immediately helped me with getting information from the specialist that I had seen last year. He also submitted a referral that was given to me by my Optometrist.

He was very thorough and explained in layman’s terms. He also gave me a referral to a specialist and gave me prescription for a necessary medication to take while waiting to see the specialist. He was very pleasant and the staff was efficient.
