She is never available for appointments when I request which is the reason I never even see her anymore. I always have to go to the nurse practitioners or other doctors because her appointments are always 3+ months away. I find that super inconvenient because there have been times when I need to see her now or within the next few days not 3 months away from now. In my personal opinion, I also feel that my visits with her are always rushed and I don’t feel like she shows care or compassion towards me. She always seems to be dismissive and it comes off as not caring and/or a little rude. I’ve been seeking other doctors because she’s never available when I need her and when she is it’s never a good visit. I always leave there feeling like my questions weren’t answered and like she rushed through my appointment. While I understand there may be times she is busy and/or has other patients with more “serious” concerns I should still be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism.

I really like her bed side manners; she is direct and at the same she is gentle when talking about your health and what alternatives you may have. She said she would submit referrals last week and I just received them. She is great thank you for having her.

Yogina Desai, MD, is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Desai earned her medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine in New York. She completed her internship and residency at Virtua Tatem-Brown Family Practice Center in New Jersey. Dr. Desai chose family medicine because she loves helping patients become healthy and stay that way. Patients say they appreciate her caring nature and down-to-earth manner.
