Dr Tang reviews and treats my symptoms and medications with precision, and ensures accuracy with his decisions about my health plan. He is extremely knowledgeable about senior patients’ health and nutrition needs, and has guided me into a more healthy lifestyle. Additionally, (and thankfully), he works carefully with my rare autoimmune illness (myasthenia gravis), its symptoms and medications, and has a superb grasp of this neuromuscular neurological illness. (I also see a neuromuscular neurologist). Dr. Tang treats me holistically, has provided medication to help counteract the side effects of medication prescribed to me by my neurologist (prednisone), Dr. Tang listens carefully and always does his best to ensure I receive the best medical treatment, tests, medication, referrals possible. He is a fabulous intelligent doctor who also truly cares for me (and his other patients). ( I have friends who see him and they too, agree with my opinions and experience with him). He is one of the top three (3) diagnostic, treating and compassionate doctors (a combination that is a rarity) doctors, that I have had over my long health journey. I highly commend and recommend Dr. Tang. OPTUM - please treat him well, pay him well. etc., so that he will continue to be able to contunue to practice at the OPTUM Leisure World Medical Office. I (we) need him. Note: His computer is often slow, doesn’t work well during appointments. (Not his fault). Could this be looked at and remedied?

Tang was standing in for Smith as she is always out. He lacked kindness and compassion for me under the extreme circumstances that I was put in due to Smith not responding to my pharmacy’s multiple requests for refills.

Sullyvan Tang, MD, left the University of Southern California with a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering and for the next 12 years he worked in this field. The call to the medical profession was too strong however, and Dr. Tang enrolled at the State University of New York in Brooklyn to pursue his medical degree. He then served his internship and residency at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Tang is a board-certified internist who works out of our Willow office.Gender
