She could have done a better job with patient education. When i started having post partum clots she told me I was restarting my period. I ended up having post partum hemorrhage and passing out at my house in my husbands arms and needing a d&c & 3 units of blood. She tried to send me home on medication instead of the d&c but I didn’t know what was going to stop me from bleeding out again at home before the medication had a chance to work. It was all very traumatic. She blamed everything on my body having twins. I felt like my husband and I had to majorly advocate for me. Also no one told me when I was in the hospital after giving birth that I had uterine atony. I didn’t find out for several weeks that’s what was going on then. I also needed two units of blood after birth. Honestly the whole experience was very mentally rough. I think I should have switched to a doctor who was more experienced with high risk pregnancies earlier on in the pregnancy.

She had an accent and talked fast...making it difficult to comprehend everything she was saying and hard to ask questions. But she was very knowledgeable and experienced.
