It was not easy to access Dr. Magdaleno to discuss a medication that was abruptly discontinued without having a discussion with me. I had to go to the clinic to see him personally but I was given a televisit appointment within one week. After speaking with him, he understood my need to have the medication and provided me with a prescription. That was a terrible experience and it was the second time. The first episode of denying the same prescription was by another PCP. I requested to be transferred to a different provider because I felt she ignored my pleas to communicate with her directly before making decisions about my long term medication without having a conversation about it.

He listens, he's patients and explains his assessment of my father's status at each visit. He makes recommendations to us on how to maximize care for my father given his medical challenges. He does his best to be available for us; if not in person via a phone call.
